Neptune 800 Series Mechanical Register

The 800 series register is the latest of four multi-function devices specifically designed for petroleum distribution and industrial process industries. Some models allow automatic preset deliveries via mechanical valve and Weights and Measures approved ticket printing.

Models

The 800 Series Registers consist of the Model 830 Series and the Model 840 Series. Model 830 Series registers are in tenths and the Model 840 Series registers are in units.

Models 831 and 841 are direct reading resettable registers with the basic non-resettable totalizer.

Models 832 and 842 are the basic 830 and 840 features plus a preset register that provides automatic deliveries. The operator sets the register for the desired quantity from the front panel. The flow will cut off automatically at the exact volume desired when used in conjunction with either a mechanical valve or a solenoid actuated valve. There are two preset models available, a single trip for one stage shutoff or a double trip for two stage shutoff (delivery decreases, then the final shutoff stops the delivery).

Models 833 and 843 are the basic 830 and 840 features plus a printer register that prints a receipt or ticket showing the readings before and after delivery. The register locks the ticket during delivery to prevent fraud. Providing two letter wheels in the register makes it possible to print a letter code on the ticket to identify the flowmeter or truck. These letter wheels can print any single letter or combination of two letters from A to J, omitting I. Additionally, three serial number wheels are provided in the register to number each ticket consecutively from 000 to 999. There are four printer models available:

  • Accumulative Face Up (most commonly used): Prints beginning reading and the final reading
  • Accumulative Face Down (for outside use): Prints beginning reading and the final reading
  • Zero Start Face Up (for larger deliveries): Prints all zeros and the actual delivery
  • Zero Start Face Down (for larger deliveries): Prints all zeros and the actual delivery

Models 834 and 844 are printer-preset registers that combine the features of the other registers. They contain the preset quantity control plus the printed ticket features.

Features

  • Standard eight digit non-resettable totalizer, five digit delivery display, four preset and five or six digit printer
  • Measurement in Gallons, tenths of gallons, litres, dekalitres, pounds and kilograms
  • High visibility ¾” wheels
  • Long life, precision die cast Zamac printer wheels provide clear, sharp, easy to read tickets

MassTrack Inventory Management System

Mass inventory management systems combine the superior accuracy of Neptune mass flowmeters with specialized software to bring all product flows under control. The system instantaneously tracks and balances mass intake against mass ouptput, providing key information needed to reduce shrinkage or product loss.

Mass inventory tracking provides real-time information that has significant bottomline impact through:

  • Reduced shrinkage
  • Timely ordering/purchasing
  • Shorter billing cycles
  • Faster inventory turnover
  • Optimized revenue and cash flow
  • Rapid payback

Easily configurable to individual bulk plants, the system can accommodate unloading from a variety of supply modes: from ships, pipelines, railcars or motor transports. Neptune Coriolis mass flowmeters measure every liquid phase flow and vapor return loop. This uniquely integrated approach tightens up inventory tracking by accounting for vapor phase return flows previously not measured, particularly significant in bulk unloading or bobtail filling operations.

One computer, interfaced comprehensively with multiple flowmeters, pumps, valves and sensors, displays data through our proprietary software (Microsoft Windows based). The software provides a detailed tabular log of every event, an instantaneous mass balance and total inventory position. Transaction information can be interfaced with accounting software for seamless data management. Managers can track status anytime, from anywhere, through remote monitoring and control capabilities.

NexGen SFT200 Mass Flow Transmitter

The NexGen SFT200 mass flow transmitter provides a small, efficient, low-cost control system for our mass flow transducers. The NexGen SFT200 greatly reduces the overall cost of the metering system in situations where the full capabilities of the Nexgen SFT100 are not required, for example, a Modbus environment where multiple meters are monitored by a central processor.

The NexGen SFT200 output is MODBUS protocol via RS-485, communicating at standard speeds up to 56.6 K baud. Pulse output is also available. All other functions are handled by external monitoring and control software applications.

The transmitter performs the basic functions of controlling and monitoring the mass flow transducer to determine the mass flow rate, the mass total, density, and temperature. From these primary measurements, it calculates the volumetric flow rate and volumetric total.

The transmitter can be configured through a PC with the NexLink software. Optional interface devices can provide ancillary functions and calculations such as batch control functions, net oil/net water measurements, or other functions.

The Nexgen SFT200 can be mounted directly to the case of the transducer, or remotely mounted when operating conditions are not conducive to integral mounting. Field connections to the unit are made through an 8 position terminal strip with 14 – 18 AWG wires. The wiring cable is run through the unit’s connector and secured with a cable gland or conduit. Remote mounting requires an additional cable between the NexGen SFT200 and the transducer adapter.

Itron mass flow transducers are industry leaders in accuracy and reliability. The NexGen SFT200 delivers these benefits at a lower cost for Modbus applications.
